After the Mississippi State series in the middle of May, it looked like the last chance for Tiger fans to be able to see their team in Alex Box Stadium. Hold the phone. After reeling off 20 straight wins, and an SEC Championship Tournament, the Tigers are five home wins away from making a CWS appearance.

LSU was awarded one of the top eight National seeds when the NCAA released its tournament bracket Monday morning. They have a National seed of No. 7, which means LSU will remain at home for both the regional and super-regional.

The Baton Rouge regional will open with two games this Friday. First up, LSU vs. No. Four seed Texas Southern at 1 p.m. This game will be followed by No. Two seed Southern Mississippi against No. Three seed UNO at 6 p.m.
