Engagement announced

Carrie Lyn Simon and Ivy Walker III, both of Crowley, announce their engagement and forth coming marriage to be held on May 17. The exchanging of wedding vows will take place during a 7 p. m. ceremony in the First Presbyterian Church. Minister Jimmy Broussard will officiate the ceremony.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Emma Simon and the late Roland “Pee” Simon of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of the late Cecil Gay and Edward Morton of Thomasville, Georgia Dupuis and the late Eva Dupuis and Adam Simon of Crowley.

Carrie is a Crowley High School graduate and is currently employed with the Waffle House.

The groom-elect is the son of Beatrice Walker and the late Ivy Walker, Jr., former residents of Eunice, but Mrs. Walker now resides in Crowley. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Armas Courville of Welsh and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivy Walker, Sr. of Eunice.

Ivy is a graduate of Eunice High School and is currently employed with the Louisiana Water Company (LAWCO).

After the wedding the couple will reside in Crowley.
