Folk Roots underway at Chicot Park, locals can still join a class
The public, who did not register for the camp, can attend the variety of afternoon master presentations planned.
If folks want to attend these afternoon master presentations and workshops, each individual activity is $10. Or, folks can attend an entire half-day, which includes a master presentation, a workshop, dinner and the nightly dance for $50.
Master presentations begin at 2:45 p.m. each day. Afternoon workshops are from 4 to 5:15 p.m. The nightly dances are from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Don’t forget today, April 20, is Roots Family Day. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults. Children, 12 and under and members of Friends of Louisiana Folk Roots get in free. At noon, there will be a Catholic Mass en français featuring the St. Joseph Catholic Church French Choir. Father Joshua Guillory will officiate.

7:30-10:30 p.m. The Red Stick Ramblers
1-5 p.m. Childrens Tent Activities

Thursday: Keith Frank, Preston Frank and The Frank Family Band.
