Folk Roots visits VPHS

In preparation for next week’s Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week being held April 18-25, at Chicot State Park, Louisiana Folk Roots visited Ville Platte High School Thursday, April 10. Cajun musician Mitch Reed performed several songs on the accordion and fiddle and talked about the instruments, as well as the festival, before asking for volunteers from the crowd to join him on stage and to attempt to play the instruments.
