Hearing set on new Atchafayala Heritage area

Planning is now beginning for the newly designated Atchafalaya National Heritage Area.

As St. Landry Parish is one of the 14 parishes that are included in the national heritage area, a public meeting will be held on Wednesday June 25 in Eunice at the Jean Lafitte National Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
