Outlook: Ville Platte is relying on a young pitching staff and a host of returning starters to get back to a winning season and a shot at the playoffs in 2016. Head coach Ervin Wilson is in his third year with the program, which should correlate to a steady approach to the game.

District: 5-3A
Returning starters: Dylan Doucet, Logan Blood, Gavin O’Conner, Josh Fontenot, Sylus Carson, Zac Lee
Outlook: Pine Prairie had a break through season last year and returns a number of starters off of a team that made it to the playoffs. Scott Butts takes over as head coach this year and looks for his pitching staff to be the key for success this season. Limiting the number of free bases will be a major component to the outcome of the 2016 season.

(Lost in Regionals to Newman)
District: 4-2A

Outlook: Head coach Cody Vidrine has his team poised to make another run into the playoffs. The Trojans will compete in class 2A this season, but has a plethora of talent returning to aid in that endeavor. Sacred Heart will need to get some quality starts from their pitching staff after losing their best hurler to graduation last year.
