Basile hosts Logansport Friday night

After going up against teams that are more run-oriented in their style of play, the Basile Bearcats (3-0) will host a team that prefers to air it out when Logansport (1-2) comes to town Friday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
“Logansport likes to throw it, and they throw it well,” said Basile head coach Kevin Bertrand. “They have some impressive athletes and a very good quarterback. Their receivers are big and strong and the offensive line will out size us. This will be the first time that we will have to face a predominately pass oriented team.”
Bertrand knows it will be incumbent upon his defense to keep the Tigers from getting on track Friday night.
“It is going to be important for our defense to play well, especially our secondary,” stated Bertrand. “Our defensive backs will have to make sure that they do not blow assignments and most importantly we are going to have to get pressure on their quarterback. I have a lot of confidence in our defense and trust them to do the right things.”
