Mamou Demons fall to Oberlin 25-0

MAMOU -- The Mamou Demons took another direct hit on the chin, as they fell to the Oberlin Tigers 25-0 here Friday night.
With the loss, Mamou is now 0-3 on the season, while Oberlin moves to 1-2. Mamou will host Pine Prairie in an inter-parish match-up this Friday.
It was not a good night for Mamou offensively, as the Demons could only manage 84 total yards.
Even with the one-sided score, Oberlin was also seemed to be anemic offensively, as they could only tally 102 total yards on the night.
However, the Tigers did not need much offense, as they were able to score on two interceptions in the second half of the game.
Oberlin opened the scoring in the first quarter on a two yard rushing attempt. The extra point was no good, but the Tigers had a 6-0 lead.
Oberlin added another touchdown in the second quarter, this time on a six yard run. Once again the point after was off the mark, however, the Tigers took a 12-0 lead into the locker room.
The final two scores from the Tigers occurred in the third and fourth quarters respectively, both coming from their defense.
In the third quarter, Oberlin took an interception 48 yards for the score. This time the extra point was good and the Tigers led 19-0.
The final points came off of another interception, this time from 74 yards out.
Mamou had a total of four turnovers in the game; three of those coming in the form of interceptions.
