Mamou Elite 8’s all set for state

After taking a week off, the Mamou Pitching Machine All-Stars are all set to head to Pineville. They will be competing in the Louisiana State Dixie Youth Pitching Machine All-Star Tournament.
The tournament sets up with four brackets. The winners of the brackets all meet in a double elimination tournament to determine the overall champion. From there, a trip to the World Series is at stake for some of the teams involved.
Mamou will begin playing in Bracket A. Their battle begins today at 7:30 p.m. in bracket play. They collide with West Monroe East.
The action continues Friday. They will play a pair of games. At 11:30 a.m., Minden Continental will challenge the Mamou All-Stars. Later that day, Mamou and Alexandria American will meet at 3:15 p.m.
Saturday, Mamou will have another pair of games. They open up the day with a game at Moss Bluff National. That game has a start time for 9 a.m. Two games later, Mamou and Thibodeaux National meet up in the final game of the day. That game is set for 12:45 p.m.
The double elimination bracket for the winners of the brackets begin Saturday afternoon and will end on Sunday.
