Parish Pitching Machine All-Stars head to district

Three teams from Evangeline Parish will head to DeQuincy to begin their quest for a district title. There will be two brackets (A & B) and the winners of each bracket will meet in the end to determine the top seed from District Seven. Several teams will have a chance to qualify for the upcoming State Tournament.
In Bracket A, Mamou has the top seed. They will take Vernon National tomorrow at 5 p.m. A win for Mamou moves them to play Saturday at 10 a.m, against the winner of Oakdale and Beauregard. A win in game two, means Mamou plays again at 4 p.m. Saturday. A loss for Mamou moves them to a 1 p.m. game on Saturday against the loser of the Oakdale and Beauregard game.
Pine Prairie is also in Bracket A with Mamou. They will take on Westlake at 8 p.m. Friday night. If Pine wins, they will play agisnt Vinton at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning. A loss means they would play at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against an undetermined opponent.
Ville Platte is playing in Bracket B. They meet DeRidder National at 6 p.m. tomorrow night. A win for VP means they would play at 10:30 a.m. Saturday against the winner of the DeQuincy and Vernon American game. A loss for VP, pins them in a 1:30 p.m. game on Saturday against the loser of the above mentioned contest.
The event is double elimination in both brackets. The finals will take place Monday on Field A at 7 p.m.
