Parish tournament set for this week

It is that time of the year again for all parish basketball fans, as the 2015 Evangeline Parish basketball tournament will get underway starting this Wednesday.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at Ville Platte High and will continue on until Saturday, at which time both the boy’s and girl’s champion will be crowned.
The tournament will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans taking on the Mamou Lady Demons in game one.
Game two will see the Sacred Heart Trojan boys take on the Mamou Demons at 5 p.m.
Day one will continue with the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers set to do battle against the Basile Lady Bearcats at 6:30 p.m.
In the final game on Wednesday, the Pine Prairie Panthers and the Basile Bearcats will face off at 8 p.m.
Both the Ville Platte High Lady Bulldogs and the Ville Platte Bulldogs received first day byes and will await the winners of the Sacred Heart/Mamou boy’s and girls games respectfully.
Ville Platte boys and girls will play on Thursday.
