Pine Prairie faces off against Chuch Point Thursday

Coming off a disappointing 27-12 loss at the hands of Northwest, the Pine Prairie Panthers (3-3, 0-1) are looking to rebound as they host Church Point (5-1, 1-0) in a big district 5-3A matchup Thursday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
“We had some crucial turnovers against Northwest,” stated Panther head coach Yves Prince. “We gave them a short field a couple of times. I thought our defense played well, it’s just that we put them in some bad field position. We have to not make those types of mistakes, especially in out district.”
Church Point averages 35.6 points per game on offense. The Bears are surrendering an average of 32 points per game to their opponents; something the Panthers may be able to take advantage of this Thursday night.
“We are just hoping to be competitive against a good football team,” said Prince. “They are very physical and have been running the same offense for a long time. We are going to get ourselves ready to play and hopefully we can give a great effort against those guys.”
