Sacred Heart girls fall at Notre Dame

A four-point lead at the half dissipated in the fourth quarter for the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans, as they fell to district opponent Notre Dame 45-38 in Crowley Tuesday night.
With the loss, Sacred Heart falls to 10-6 on the season and 0-1 in District 5-2A play.
Sacred Heart came ready to play in the first quarter. The Lady Trojans opened the game with a five point lead, 13-8, behind Catherine Poche’s five points.
The scoring trailed off in the second quarter for the Lady Trojans, as they were only able to muster eight points in the period. Notre Dame kept pace, hitting for nine points and trailed Sacred Heart 21-17 at the half.
The Lady Pios came alive offensively in the third quarter, out pacing the Lady Trojans 13-10 to cut the lead down to one But, it was the fourth quarter that spelled the difference in the game. Notre Dame continued their offensive push outscoring Sacred Heart 15-7 in the final quarter to close out the game.
Gabbie Andrepont tallied 15 points and Poche added 13 points for the Lady Trojans.
