Several Green Demons earn representation on 4-2A squad

There was some competition all across District 4-2A and the Mamou High team fought hard all season.
The Lady Demons finished the season with an overall record of 23-9 and a league record of 8-2. They made it to the post-season and lost in the second round of the playoffs to Redemptorist. They defeated Kinder in the first round.
The All-District girl’s team had one first team member. Darelzray Bellard, a freshman, averaged 19.5 points per game. This is the third straight time she has made her respective all-district team. She has been a starter since her seventh grade year and making the most of it.
Several girls managed to earn Honorable Mentions. They were, Arki Thomas, Kiajah Wilson, Kamaneshia Wilson, Amber Jack and Keira Griffin.
The boys 4-2A squad features Mamou’s Russell Edwards, a freshman. Edwards averaged 14 points per game, two blocks and 11 rebounds. Joining Edwards is Dallas Gallow. The junior averged 15 points a game along with 10 rebounds.
