Ville Platte track teams sweep district crowns

The Ville Platte High boys and girls track teams swept the district track championships last Wednesday at Church Point. The boys took the title scoring 143 points, 33 points more than the second place team Livonia. The girls edged out Port Barre by a four point margin 152-148 to take the crown. All of these athletes represented Ville Platte High at the regional track meet held yesterday at Abbeville High School. The results of that meet were not available at press time.
