Hilliard honored at lingerie brunch

Jan Erin Hilliard, bride-elect of Mario Roberto Corzo of Youngsville, was honored with a lingerie brunch at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at the home of Alfred and Lizzy Irion of Lafayette.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Tommy and Kaye Hilliard of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Flossie Monceaux of Crowley, and Clara and the late Peter Haure of Rayne.

The groom-elect is the son of Mario and Yvonne Corzo of Opelousas, and Kathleen Timmons of Houma. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Francis Esthete of Houma, and the late Juan and Feliza Corzo of Guatemala.

Hosting the brunch were Josette White, aunt of the bride; and Jamie Hilliard, sister of the bride.

The honoree was beautifully attired in a black blouse with white polka dots paired with coordinating slacks.

Mother of the bride-to-be was lovely in a fuchsia beaded print top and capris pants. While the groom-elect’s mother was elegant in a white eyelet blouse with sage green capris. His stepmother wore a pale blue pants suit.

The Irion home was decorated with fresh flowers. Roses and daises were placed in muticolored pots throughout.

Guests were served refreshments of quiche, fruit kabobs, petitfors, vegetable tray and a variety of finger sandwiches.

Approximately 20 guest attended traveling from New Orleans, Crowley, Lake Charles, Houma, Rayne, Opelousas and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Special guest was Flossie Monceaux, maternal grandmother of the bride.

The couple was married at noon on Saturday, June 14 at the Townhouse Restaurant in Lafayette.
