I-10 safe for 6 hours one day last week
State Police Troop I issued 104 speeding tickets on I-10 in St. Martin Parish between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
The troopers conducted an enforcement detail targeting speeders and reckless drivers.
“The enforcement details are not to generate citations,” said Troop I spokesman David Anderson. “Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorists voluntarily complying with the laws. During this detail, no crash occurred on I-10 within St. Martin Parish.”
Troopers also issued eight citations for driving under suspension, two for commercial vehicle violations, and one each for vehicle registration, child restraint and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
