Jays rebound against Hanson

FRANKLIN – The St. Edmund Blue Jays rebounded from a three-game weekend losing streak, scoring a 7-4 win over the Hanson Memorial Tornadoes.
Slow and steady won the race for St. Eds, who held a narrow lead until the top of the fifth, when the Jays scored three runs.
Hanson attempted to rally in the bottom of the seventh, but relief pitcher Trevor Hargroder put a stop to it after only one run.
Ryan Johnson doubled to score two runs, and Wesley Chachere also added one RBI.
Starting pitcher Edward Turk took the win, giving up two runs and four hits in five innings of work. Turk walked one batter and struck out three.
