Leleux, Beadle engagement celebrated at cocktail party

A cocktail party celebrating the engagement of Claire Marie Leleux and Thomas James Beadle, Jr., M.D. of New Orleans was held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 at the Beauvoir home of Edmund and Cheryl Habetz.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Harold and Lyle Leleux of Rayne. Her future husband, Thomas, is the son of Tom and Dolores Beadle of Flower Mound, Texas.

Hosting the event were Garry Aycock, Ted and Alice Frank, Kevin and Kate Frank, Edmund and Cheryl Habetz, Albay and Sydra Hanks, Ben and Dawnita Leleux, Glyn and Ellen Myers, Jeremy and Kasey Patin, Maggie Price, Dave and Andrea Trahan and Lawrence and Roylynn Trahan.

For this special occasion, the honoree wore a black knee-length dress adorned with a front ruffle and completed with a bow tie sash in back.

Mother of the bride-to-be was lovely in a black knee-length sheath with black beads at the neckline.

The groom-elect’s mother was radiant in black and bronze print knee-length dress accented with a black bow at the princess waistline.

The Habetz home was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers throughout.

A delicious meal, to accommodate approximately 60 guest, was served. The meal consisted of seafood pasta, meat pies, fried catfish and an assortment of fruit, vegetables and sweets, and was catered by Fezzo’s in Crowley.

Out of town guest registered from New Orleans, Houston, Texas; Flower Mound, Texas; Lafayette, Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.

The couple will wed at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. A reception will follow at River Oaks in Lafayette.
