2014 Boggy Bayou Festival youth royalty crowned

Six new queens and three kings were selected on Saturday, March 15, at the 2014 Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant held at the fairgrounds. They will be presented at the Queen’s Pageant set for Saturday, April 5, during the 30th Boggy Bayou Festival.
Winning the title of Baby Miss Boggy Bayou was Kylee McGoldrick, the eight-month-old daughter of Alysha and Timothy McGoldrick of Ville Platte. Placing as first runner-up was Lennon Miller, the six-month-old daughter of Justin and Tabby Miller of Ville Platte. Second runner-up was Averie Deville, the 14-month-old daughter of Sedonia Guillory and Matt Deville.
Capturing the Baby Mr. Boggy Bayou title for 2014 was Ryker Davis, the seven-month-old son of Katie Deville and Tyi Davis of Ville Platte. Ashton Russell, the one-year-old son of Bryan and Macy Russell of Mamou, was named first runner-up, while Brantley Barrett, the nine-month-old son of Kesha and Brandon Barrett of Pine Prairie, was named second runner-up. Alternate was Wyatt Sparks, the seven-month-old son of Tyler and Cydney Sparks of Ville Platte.
The Tiny Miss Boggy Bayou crown was awarded to Valerie Johnson, the two-year-old daughter of Tiffany Boutte and Taylor Johnson of Eunice. First runner-up was Paisly Thibodeaux, the two-year-old daughter of Eric and Katie Thibodeaux of Pine Prairie, while Madilyn Fontenot, the 26-month-old daughter of Stephen and Melissa Fontenot of Pine Prairie, was named second runner-up to the Tiny Miss.
Brennan Zorn, the two-year-old son of Sarah Zorn of Lafayette, was crowned Tiny Mr. Boggy Bayou for 2014.
Layla Fruge, the three-year-old daughter of David and Britni Fruge of Pine Prairie, was crowned Little Miss Boggy Bayou. Sierra Fontenot, the three-year-old daughter of Shawn and Samantha Fontenot of Ville Platte, was named first runner-up. Elli Miller, the four-year-old daughter of Misty Miller of Ville Platte, placed as second runner-up, while Payslie Deville, the five-year-old daughter of Jeremy and Brandi Deville of Pine Prairie, was named alternate.
Parker West, the four-year-old son of Branigan West and Thad Bergeron of Pine Prairie, was crowned Little Mr. Boggy Bayou for 2014.
Jaedyn LaFleur, the six-year-old daughter of Jade and Kasie LaFleur of Pine Prairie, captured the Petite Miss Boggy Bayou crown for 2014. Gracie Vidrine, the eight-year-old daughter of Quentin and Jaimi Vidrine of Pine Prairie, was named first runner-up. Placing as second runner-up in this division was Azelie Johnson, the seven-year-old daughter of Sandy Powers of Turkey Creek.
Marlee McDaniel, the 12-year-old daughter of Bryan and Dawnyna McDaniel of Turkey Creek, was crowned Deb Miss Boggy Bayou for 2014. Kelsey Clark, whose guardian is Jessica Guillot of Turkey Creek, was named first runner-up. Lybbie Fontenot, the 13-year-old daughter of Scott and Danielle Guillory and Troy Fontenot, was awarded second runner-up in the Deb Miss category.
Capturing the Teen Miss title for 2014 was Shelbi McClay Rials, the 14-year-old daughter of Regina Pate and Clay Rials of Pine Prairie. Josie Pitre, the 15-year-old daughter of Ginean Lamke and Scott Pitre of Pine Prairie, was named first runner-up in the category. Emileigh Hunt, the 16-year-old daughter of Greg Hunt and Lori Watts, was named second runner-up, while Faith Clark, the 15-year-old daughter of Joann Clark and Roger Dale Clark, Jr. of Pine Prairie, received the alternate award.
Serving as judges for this year’s pageant were: Kaitlyn LeJeune, the 2012 and 2013 Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau Queen; Heather Schexnayder, the reigning Miss Louisiana Mardi Gras; and Carly Chaumont, the reigning Miss Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Queen. Serving as auditor was Boggy Bayou Queen Abbie Deville.
