2014 Ville Platte youth royalty crowned

The Ville Platte Youth Pageant was held Sunday, March 16, at the Northside Civic Center. The newly selected Ville Platte royalty was chosen on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Northside Civic Center in Ville Platte. This special event was emceed by Torian Paige Veillon and is annually sponsored by Ville Platte Women’s Association and co-sponsored by the City of Ville Platte. Judging the event were a panel of three judges who were not from this area and were qualified for this event. Congratulations to all contestants and winners! Each queen will represent the city of Ville Platte at many local and state events throughout their reign. Miss Ville Platte will compete as a contestant in the Cotton Festival coronation in October as a representative of Ville Platte and she will receive a $500 scholarship upon completion of her reign in March 2015 when she crowns her successor. The VPWA organization thanks the many merchants in our surrounding area for the donation of door prizes and most importantly we sincerely thank the ladies who helped in this year’s successful endeavor. Winners and their runners-up were selected as follows:
Baby Miss Ville Platte - Leah Kate Fontenot, the eight-month-old daughter of Mike and Kristy Fontenot, was selected as Baby Miss Ville Platte. She also received the most photogenic award. First runner-up to the queen was Halle Jayne Lambright, the 10-and-a-half-month-old daughter of Allen and Hannah Lambright. She also received the award for prettiest hair. Rounding out the Baby Miss court were Lennin A’lise Miller, the seven-month-old daughter of Justin and Tabby Miller, second runner-up; and Harvyn Grace Soileau, the seven-month-old daughter of Samuel and Lacey Soileau, third runner-up.
Baby Master Ville Platte - Cohen Scott Crader, the four-month-old son of Scotty and Skylor Crader, was chosen as Baby Master Ville Platte. He also received the most photogenic award. First runner-up to the new king was Keegan Blake Blood, the six-month-old son of Brandon Blood and Sarah Marcantel. He also received the fashion award.
Petite Miss Ville Platte - Blakelyn Denee’ Perron, the 15-month-old daughter of Misti Fontenot and Michael Perron, was named Petite Miss Ville Platte. The Petite Miss court was rounded out by Riley Ann Leger, the 18-month-old daughter of Lauren and Matt Leger, first runner-up; Kyndal Laine Manuel, the 17-month-old daughter of Garrett and Samantha Manuel, second runner-up; and Mica Fontenot, the 21-month-old daughter of Brandon and Leigh Fontenot, third runner-up.
Petite Master Ville Platte - Dawson Hayze Crader, the 18-month-old son of Scotty and Skylor Crader, was crowned Petite Master Ville Platte. First runner-up to the new king was Kalani LeKeith Ben, the 12-month-old son of Tony and LaKethia Ben; and second runner-up was Michael Anthony Smith, the 23-month-old son of Tony and Daniel Karisny.
Toddler Miss Ville Platte - Addison Grace Plauche’, the three-year-old daughter of Blake and Allison Plauche’, was named Toddler Miss Ville Platte. Rounding out the Toddler Miss court were Skylar Alyce Chalmers, the two-year-old daughter of Christopher and Jennie Chalmers, first runner-up; Nahla Jolie Melbert, the two-year-old daughter of Lonnie Doucet and Jordan Melbert, second runner-up; and Camille Lee Guillory, the two-year-old daughter of Rob and Lauren Guillory, third runner-up.
Tiny Miss Ville Platte - Natalie Reed, the five-year-old daughter of Aaron and Amanda Reed, was named Tiny Miss Ville Platte. Kaitlyn Renee’ O’Quin, the five-year-old daughter of Angela and Mark O’Quin was named first runner-up to the new Tiny Miss queen; while Jocelyn Marie Chalmers, the four-year-old daughter of Christopher and Jennie Chalmers, was named second runner-up; and Claire Lee White, the five-year-old daughter of Kyle and Hollie Marcantel and Chris White, was named third runner-up.
Little Miss Ville Platte - Skyla Elizabeth Fontenot, the seven-year-old daughter of Shawn and Samantha Fontenot, was selected as Little Miss Ville Platte. Rounding out the Little Miss court were Lola Grace Andrus, the nine-year-old daughter of Heath and Kylie Andrus, first runner-up; Gereal De’Laley Ardoin, the eight-year-old daughter of Haley Bias and Gerald Ardoin, second runner-up; and Londyn Grace Coleman, the eight-year-old daughter of Tennille and Quintin Miller, third runner-up.
Deb Miss Ville Platte - Lainnie Michelle Barras, the 10-year-old daughter of Mitchell and Mia Barras, was crowned Deb Miss Ville Platte. Kinsey Leigh Smith, the 10-year-old daughter of Melissa Whipp and Nathan Smith, was selected as first runner-up to the new queen.
