Catholic Daughters hold annual French Retreat
On Thursday, March 19, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, held its annual French Retreat at the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Family Life Center. Activities included praying the Rosary in French, which was led by court member Verna Guillory. Father Richard Vidrine conducted the mass, heard confessions and administered the sacrament of the sick to nursing home residents and others in attendance. Father Vidrine is a native of Ville Platte who speaks French fluently and is a frequent visitor to Heritage Manor. Most of the elderly residents know him well. In the first two photos, attendees are seen in prayer during the Rosary. In the third photo, Guillory is shown leading the Rosary. In the fourth photo, shown with Father Vidrine, center, are chairpersons Celia Ardoin, left, and Verna Guillory.
