Fontenots celebrate 60 years of marriage

Lloyd and Sally Fontenot of Chataignier celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2014. The couple was married August 14, 1954, at St. Julien Catholic Church in Chataignier. They thank God for their life, health, strength and 60 years of marriage. Sally was a housewife who raised six children and made sure they attended school and church. Lloyd worked for 37 years as an industrial construction worker in the petro-chemical industry in Lake Charles. He was also a member of union local 207. He has now been enjoying retirement for 17 years. The couple has always lived and raised their family in the village of Chataignier. Their children are Mary Ann Fontenot of Mamou, Brenda Faye Fontenot, Ray Charles (Sarah) Fontenot and Mark (Debra) Fontenot, all of Chataignier, Kenneth James (Linda) Fontenot of Ville Platte and Pastor Gregory Joseph (Lisa) Fontenot of Reddell. The couple would like to thank their children, in-laws, grandchildren, family and friends for the daily care received.
