Gradney wins state title, will compete for national title this summer

Isabella Gradney, the daughter of Erin Marcantel and Burnell Guillory of Ville Platte and granddaughter of Charlotte and Curtis Marcantel and Ava and Louis Gradney, was entered into her first pageant at the age of three months old. She competed in the Le Festival de la Viande Boucanee’ Pageant in Ville Platte against 16 beautiful babies, ranging from newborn to 11 months old. She did not place in that pageant but entered her second pageant at six months old and was crowned as 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness Infant Miss Queen in Eunice. She was also crowned as the Mamou Cajun Music Festival Baby Miss Queen in Mamou and Crowley Rice Festival Baby Miss Queen in 2014.

•Toddler Miss Duson Fourth of July Fair Queen in Duson
•Toddler Miss Louisiana Independence Queen in New Iberia
•Toddler Miss Breaux Bridge Queen in Breaux Bridge
•T’Nincy Miss Lecompte Pie Festival Queen in Lecompte
•Toddler Miss Turkey Creek Christmas Queen in Turkey Creek
Most recently, earlier this year, Gradney competed in Watson and was crowned as Louisiana’s 2016 Global Excellence Toddler Miss Global Queen. She has the honor of representing Louisiana for the 2016-2017 National Global Excellence Toddler Miss title in Alabama at the end of June.
Gradney is a fun, outgoing two-year-old and has a huge personality and is very eager to learn new things. She enjoys playing outside, jumping in her fun jump, riding her bike and scooter, riding the four-wheeler and playing with her cousin Keegan. She enjoys helping out her community and giving back. She collects box tops for education, aluminum can tabs for St. Jude’s, non-perishable items for food drives and blankets and coats for shelters.
