Jr., Teen and Miss Ville Platte queens crowned

The Jr., Teen and Miss Ville Platte Pageant was held Sunday, afternoon, March 22, at the Northside Civic Center. The newly selected Ville Platte royals are annually sponsored by the Ville Platte Women’s Association and co-sponsored by the City of Ville Platte to represent the city. Miss Ville Platte will compete as a contestant in the Cotton Festival coronation in October as a representative of Ville Platte and she will receive a $500 scholarship upon completion of her reign when she crowns her successor.
Winners were selected as follows:
Jr. Miss Ville Platte - Adrianna Brook Fall, the 14-year-old daughter of Jessica Foret and Brock Fall of Mamou, was chosen as Jr. Miss Ville Platte.
Teen Miss Ville Platte - Jillian Grace Thille, the 15-year-old daughter of David and Amanda Thille of Ville Platte, was selected as Teen Miss Ville Platte.
Miss Ville Platte - Melisa Lynee West, the 18-year-old daughter of Quint and Roxane West of Pine Prairie, was crowned as Miss Ville Platte. The brown haired, blue-green-eyed beauty is a sophomore at Louisiana College, where she is majoring in pre-medical biology. She graduated from high school one year early in the top 15 of her class with honors. She received a Tops scholarship and an academic scholarship to Louisiana College. She plans to graduate from Louisiana College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and then attend LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans to obtain her medical degree and become a practicing obstetrician. Her hobbies include singing, painting, playing the piano, participating in church events and performing with Troupe d’Evangeline Community Theatre in Ville Platte and Opelousas Little Theatre.
