Mamou Cajun Music Festival Pageant set

The Second Annual Mamou Cajun Music Festival Pageant will be held Sunday, August 23, at the Mamou Recreation Center beginning at 10 a.m. Entry fee for contestants ages newborn to 12 is $35, and entry fee for Jr., Teen and Miss contestants is $55. The Jr., Teen and Miss titles are contract titles and the Miss queen will receive a scholarship upon completion of her reign.
Categories are as follows:
Baby Miss and Master (newborn to 11 months), Petite Miss and Master (12-23 months), Toddler Miss (two-three years old), Tiny Miss (four-five years old), Little Miss (six-seven years old), Deb Miss (eight-nine years old), Pre-teen (10-12 years old), Teen (13-14 years old), Jr. Miss (15-16 years old) and Miss (17-22 years old). Attire for ages newborn to 10 will be Sunday best. Attire for ages 10 on up will be formal wear.
The pageant is being held in conjunction with the annual Cajun Music Festival, which will be held September 4 and 5, at the recreation center.
