Miss Noel Acadien Pageant set

LAFAYETTE - LARC’s Acadian Village proudly announces that it is bringing back the Annual Miss Noel Acadien Pageant. The Miss Noel Acadien Festival Pageant will take place on Sunday, October 18th at the Pavilion located at LARC’s Acadian Village. All funds generated from this event will benefit LARC’s Acadian Village, a non-profit organization owned by LARC to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
The pageant will be co-hosted by Michelle Merrill and Thomas Gott, Assistant Director at Acadian Village. Merrill is the past Mrs. U.S. of A. Globe International and hails from Lafayette. She competed in her first pageant just two days shy of her 18th birthday and has won several titles over the past 17 years, including Mrs. Louisiana.
The 0-13 years of age competition starts at 10 a.m. and 14-50 (plus) years of age competition starts at 2 p.m. Hours are subject to change due to number of entries. Non-refundable entry fees are: ages 0-7, $40; ages eight-17, $50; and 18-50 (plus), $55. Cash, money order or check will be accepted. Credit card transactions may be paid over the phone or at the general store. Applications can be found at www.acadianvillage.org. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 7. Hand-delivered entries will be accepted until 5 p.m, Friday, October 9. Late applications or fees will not be accepted.
Age divisions are as follows: Petite Bebe Noel Acadien, zero-three years; Petite Miss Noel Acadien, 4-7 years; Miss Noel Acadien, eight-13 years; Teen Miss Noel Acadien, 14-17 years; Miss Noel Acadien, 18-22 years; Ms. Noel Acadien 18-49 years; and Grandma Noel 50 and older.
Miss Noel Acadien (age 18-22) will be acknowledged as the official Noel Acadien au Village Festival spokesperson and will represent the festival throughout the community. She will also assist Acadian Village management with media interviews and emcee several Noel Acadien programs in December. The pageant is proudly sponsored by FACE Magazine.
