New Ville Platte city royalty crowned
The Ville Platte Youth Pageant was held Sunday, March 16, at the Northside Civic Center. The newly selected Ville Platte royalty was chosen on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Northside Civic Center in Ville Platte. This special event was emceed by Torian Paige Veillon and is annually sponsored by Ville Platte Women’s Association and co-sponsored by the City of Ville Platte. Judging the event were a panel of three judges who were not from this area and were qualified for this event. Congratulations to all contestants and winners! Each queen will represent the city of Ville Platte at many local and state events throughout their reign. Miss Ville Platte will compete as a contestant in the Cotton Festival coronation in October as a representative of Ville Platte and she will receive a $500 scholarship upon completion of her reign in March 2015 when she crowns her successor. The VPWA organization thanks the many merchants in our surrounding area for the donation of door prizes and most importantly we sincerely thank the ladies who helped in this year’s successful endeavor. Winners and their runners-up were selected as follows:
Baby Miss Ville Platte - BreLyn Bradley, the 10-month-old daughter of Louis and Staci Bradley, elected as Baby Miss Ville Platte. She also received the most photogenic award. First runner-up to the queen was Zylee McQuirter, the 11-month-old daughter of Jonathan and Danielle McQuirter. Second runner-up was Serenity Pitre, the seven-moth-old daughter of Brittany Brewer and Lamar Pitre; and third runner-up was Averie Fontenot, the three-month-old daughter of Alaina Lee and Jonathan Fontenot.
Baby Master Ville Platte - Sawyer Perron, the eight-month-old son of Chastity Perron, was chosen as Baby Master Ville Platte. He also received the most photogenic award.
Petite Miss Ville Platte - Aubrey Broussard, the 22-month-old daughter of Kevin and Sonya Brussard, was selected as Petite Miss Ville Platte. She also won the awards for most photogenic and prettiest smile. Rounding out the Petite Miss court were Isabella Gradney, the 12-month-old daughter of Erin Marcantel and Burnell Gradney, first runner-up; and Madison Mann, the one-year-old daughter of Daniel and Jennifer Mann, second runner-up.
Toddler Miss Ville Platte - Savannah Copeland, the two-year-old daughter of Candace Terry and Derek Copeland, was named Toddler Miss Ville Platte. She also won the awards for most photogenic, fashion, prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, best smile, and most beautiful.
Tiny Miss Ville Platte - Brooklyn McDaniel, the five-year-old daughter of Paul and Courtney McDaniel, was named Tiny Miss Ville Platte. She also won the awards for most photogenic, fashion, prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, best smile, and most beautiful.
Little Miss Ville Platte - Allenie Dick, the eight-year-old daughter of Allen and Shemieka Dick, was selected as Little Miss Ville Platte. She also won the awards for most photogenic, fashion, prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, best smile, and most beautiful.
Deb Miss Ville Platte - Peyton Guillory, the nine-year-old daughter of Ryan and Bridget Guillory, was crowned Deb Miss Ville Platte.
Jr. Miss Ville Platte - McKenzie Walker, the 14-year-old daughter of Kevin and Jolay Walker, was named Jr. Miss Ville Platte.
Teen Miss Ville Platte - Hailey Vidrine, the 16-year-old daughter of Wayne and Jenny Vidrine, was chosen as Teen Miss Ville Platte.
Miss Ville Platte - Katelyn Thille, the 19-year-old daughter of David and Amanda Thille, was crowned as Miss Ville Platte. Placing as Miss Ville Platte Princess was Savannah Watts-Chapman, the 19-year-old daughter of Brent and Laura Chapman.
