Troupe d’Evangeline to present “Steel Magnolias”

Troupe d’Evangeline Community Theatre is proud to announce its production of the Robert Harling play “Steel Magnolias.” The production, directed by Travis Fontenot, will have two performances at the Northside Civic Center: Sunday, May 15, at 2 p.m. and Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m. The six-women ensemble cast will star Renee Walden as M’Lynn Eatenton; Kristi Burleigh as Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie; Kristi Johnson as Truvy Jones; Melanie Soileau as Annelle Dupuy-Desoto; Nancy Duplechain as Clairee Belcher; and Yvonne Johnson as Ouisier Boudreaux. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce office (363-1878 for more information).
