At the Village of Turkey Creek’s council meeting Tuesday night, Mayor Heather Cloud and the council discussed applying for the Local Government Assistance Program (LGAP) grant for $25,000.
Cloud said, “With this LGAP grant, I am again asking to dedicate the money, should we get it, to painting the water tower. I am planning to have this happen in the year 2017, so we are trying to accumulate as much money as possible so that when it comes, we will be financially prepared to pay.”
All council members agreed to put any money received from the LGAP grant towards painting Turkey Creek’s water tower.
During the meeting, Cloud also took the time to make an announcement about the village’s civic center.
Cloud said, “I am excited to tell you guys that we found out that all we have to do is pay $800 at the end of this month and the civic center will be paid off.”
Other items approved at the meeting were:
• August 16, 2016 and September 6, 2016 meeting minutes.
