Art of Evangeline Parish students on display Monday

Ten of Evangeline Parish’s talented visual art students will have their work on display Monday, April 27, in honor of Artists in the Capitol Day. Artwork will be on display in the Memorial Hall of the state capitol building in Baton Rouge.
The artwork being presented was created by these students as part of the 2015 Louisiana Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest.
While the Evangeline Parish students did not place in the contest, their artwork will still be proudly displayed alongside all other participants.
Local students whose artwork will be on display are: Olivia Guillory (sixth grade) Vidrine Elementary; Phelix Guillory (12th grade) Ville Platte High School; Tylan Jagneaux (seventh grade), Kamyrn West (sixth grade), Reese Fields (eighth grade), Abby Reed (eighth grade) and Makayla Vidrine (fifth grade) all from Bayou Chicot Elementary; Noah Andrus (10th grade) Mamou High School; Alex Soileau (no grade given) Chataignier Elementary; and Chyanne Lebleu (no grade given) Sacred Heart Elementary.
