Court Street brawl results in three arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department spent Monday afternoon diffusing an argument turned physical altercation, which resulted in the arrest of one male and two female subjects.
In a press release from Ville Platte Chief of Police Neal Lartigue it stated, “On the evening of May 8, 2017, officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Court Street.”
The officers diffused the argument and “removed one subject from the scene.”
The release then stated that “later officers returned to the residence in response to a report of a fight in progress.”
Upon completion of the call, officers arrested 24-year-old Tevin Thomas, of Ville Platte. He was charged with remaining after forbidden, resisting arrest, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and disturbing the peace by fighting.
Thomas was later transported to EPSO for outstanding warrants.
The two females arrested were 22-year-old Kierra Calvin and 18-year-old Kealogah Calvin.
Both Ville Platte women were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting.
Since the incident, Kierra and Kealogah have both been released from the city jail on $200.00 bonds.
