Early morning wreck send one man to the hospital

At 6:59 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 21, firefighters with the Ville Platte Fire Department and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a wreck on Highway 167 west of Ville Platte.
A Chevrolet Avalanche truck driven by Cody Brignac was found on its side in a ditch. Firefighters removed Brignac from the vehicle and assisted Acadian Ambulance with loading him in the Air Med helicopter.
Brignac’s injuries were reported as minor, but the exact cause of the crash has not yet been announced.
