Early registration for mamou mardi gras run open

Early registration has begun at the Mamou police station for the Mamou children’s Mardi Gras run that will take place Sunday, February 15.
Registration on the day of the run will be from 7 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. at the skating rink. The entry fee is $10 per child, up to $25 per family.
The run is open to children who are three to 15 years old. Children under nine years old must be accompanied by a parent at all times during the run. All participating children must wear some type of costume or face paint.
Run participants should be at the skating rink at 7:30 a.m. on February 15, and the run will begin at 8:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to ride with their children or pull trailers in the run. Anyone planning to pull trailers in the run must call either of the phone numbers below.
No alcoholic beverages will be allowed. Boudin will be served for lunch at T-Boys. Awards will be awarded in several categories.
Application forms are available at the Mamou police station, where they must be turned in along with the registration fee.
