Early voting continues thru Tuesday

Voters of Evangeline Parish are urged to cast their early ballots for the November 4, election this week, as early voting comes to an end on Tuesday, October 28.
There are still two more days to cast your early ballot at the Evangeline Parish Registrar of Voters office between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, October 27, and Tuesday, October 28. Early voting is not being conducted today (Sunday, October 26). For more information, call the registrar’s office at (337) 363-5538.
As of press time Saturday, over 1,900 Evangeline Parish residents had cast their ballots.
According to Evangeline Parish Board of Election Supervisors President Randy Deshotel, there will be a meeting of the board of election supervisors for the purpose of sealing the voting machines for the November 4, election. This meeting will take place at the voting machine warehouse located at 1208 Dardeau St., Ville Platte, on Friday, October 31, at 10 a.m.
