Flood, tornado watch in effect for Evangeline Parish

Evangeline Parish is under a flood watch and tornado watch until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Evangeline Parish is one of nine different parishes that under the tornado watch due to the severe storm system coming through the area on Tuesday. Evangeline is also one of more than a dozen parishes, including neighboring St. Landry, Acadia and Avoyelles parishes, that are under the flood watch.
KATC has also reported that there is an electricity outage in Mamou caused by a downed power line due to strong winds. 663 Cleco customers are currently without power.
