Fontenot earns scholarship from LHC

The Louisiana Housing Council made its annual scholarship presentation in Baton Rouge earlier this month. Among the recipients was Ville Platte’s Tyler Fontenot, one of only 12 total recipients of this year’s scholarships. The scholarship program is competitive and selections are based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service and an essay assignment. Fontenot received a $1,200 scholarship from Louisiana Housing Council, as well as an additional $500 from the Fred Banks scholarship.
