Goodley questioned in murder of his grandmother
Christopher Goodley, 21, is currently being questioned in the murder of his grandmother, 80-year-old Delsy Williams, but charges have not been filed against him at this time.
This incident began as a missing person, when family members of Williams reported her missing Saturday from her home in the Kennedy Subdivision. Shortly thereafter, Williams body was found in a field off of Highway 29 by a farmer. At her home, there was blood on her car and under her car port. Goodley, who was staying with his grandmother after being released from prison approximately a year ago, could not be found at that time. Police began searching for the suspect and eventually located him in an abandoned trailer home in Ville Platte. He is currently being questioned by police.
According to Louisiana State Police, this investigation is ongoing. Working the case is the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Louisiana State Police, Ville Platte Police Department and Ville Platte City Marshal.
