Hard freeze expected again tonight

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is seeing winter precipitation ending across parts of the region. Here is a timeline of when the snow, sleet, and freezing rain will end: southeast Texas: 10 am-2 pm, central Louisiana: 10 am-2 pm, southwest Louisiana: noon-4 pm, and south central Louisiana: 4 pm-8 pm.

Temperatures will stay below freezing this morning, and barely get above freezing this afternoon as the precipitation ends. Some locations may not get above freezing today.

Tonight a hard freeze is expected north of the I-10 corridor across east Texas and central Louisiana, with lows in the low to mid 20s. The I-10 corridor will be in the upper 20s, and it will be near freezing at the coast.
