The election on December 6, will feature several high profile runoffs from the November 4, election, in addition to two tax renewals.
Early voting for this election is already underway and will continue through November 29. Early voting will not be conducted today, November 23, Thursday, November 27 (due to Thanksgiving), or Friday, November 28.

No. Four Proposition
This is a tax renewal for Duralde Gravity Drainage District No. Four to allow the district to continue to levy a special tax of 8.17 mills on all property subject to taxation in the district for a period of 10 years beginning in 2015 and ending in 2024 for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and operating drainage works within the district. It is estimated this tax will bring in $63,808 annually.
Town of Basile Proposition
This is a tax renewal for the Town of Basile to continue to levy a special tax of eighth mills on all property subject to taxation in the town for a period of 10 years beginning 2015 and ending in 2024, for the purpose of constructing, acquiring, extending, improving and/or maintaining drainage facilities, streets, street lighting facilities, bridges, sidewalks, waterworks, sewers and sewerage disposal works, recreational facilities, public parks, public buildings and fire deparmtent stations and equipment, including fire engines and payment of salaries for fire department personnel, maintaining and operating the municipal police department and garbage collection and disposal facilities.
