Lights of Hope event being held at Courthouse tonight

Relay for Life will be honoring cancer survivors at the Evangeline Parish Courthouse Square by lighting up the night sky.
The event, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. this evening, is called Lights of Hope and is being held across the state. The public is invited to attend if: you are a survivor, you are a caregiver, you are a friend, you are a coworker, you are a relative, you want to fight the war on cancer. You can attend for any reason at all.
Luminaria bags and candles will be dedicated to those who have battled or are currently battling cancer during the ceremony.
In addition to the lightning ceremony, there was also be a walk around the courthouse as a lap of victory for our survivors.
