Mamou Police been busy with recent arrests

The Mamou Police Department has been locking criminals away.
On October 22, 2015 MPD Patrolman Ben Bordelon received a complaint in reference to domestic abuse.
When Bordelon arrived at the victim’s location, she began to inform Bordelon of what had transpired.
According to a press release from the MPD, the victim stated that “the suspect held her down with his knees in her chest and strangled her until she almost passed out.” The vicitm also said that the suspect told her “to die.”
Once she managed to get away, the victim left her home and headed to her place of work where she waited until the suspect had removed his belongings from the victims home.
With the suspect gone, the victim decided to head back to her house to lay down. When she awoke, the suspect was standing over her with a gun pointed at the her head.
As the victim pleaded with the suspect to stop, according to the MPD press release, “the victim’s daughter walked in and the suspect departed the residence.”
After collecting all of the necessary evidence needed, the suspect was identified as 37-year-old Christopher Wayne Guillory of Mamou.
On October 23, 2015, a warrant was issued and executed by Bordelon, Soileau, Zackery, and EPSO Detective Caleb Stelly.
Guillory has been charged with domestic abuse battery and aggravated assault. After being booked in the Mamou jail, Guillory was later transported to the parish jail and is being held on a $1,500.00 bond.
Along with the arrest of Guillory, the MPD has also arrested 40-year-old Mary Dickerson of Mamou.
Dickerson was arrested and charged with cruelty to juvenile after the MPD received a call on October 29, 2015 in reference to a woman beating up on a child.
After being advised twice by officer Wesley Childress to remove herself from the juvenile, Dickerson finally complied.
After being booked at the Mamou jail, Dickerson was then transferred to the parish jail. Dickerson was released from jail on a $35,000.00 bond.
On October 22, 2015 the MPD also managed to arrest Marshall Paul Courville.
Courville was wanted in Acadia Parish for theft of oil equipment.
While performing a routine traffic stop, MPD Officer Chris Lemaire ran Courville’s license plate only to discover that Courville had switched plates, no insurance, and no driver’s license.
Lemaire arrested Courville and booked him into the Mamou jail. Courville was later transferred to Acadia Parish.
