Man who beat woman with gun is in jail

Stephen Lafleur, who was wanted by Mamou police for allegedly beating a woman with a gun and shooting at her vehicle on Monday, has turned himself in.
Lafleur’s alleged victim reported that her daughter was at the scene when the incident occurred and Mamou police began searching for him.
Lafleur, 56, turned himself in and was charged with aggravated battery. He is currently being held on a $225,000 bond.
