Police searching for suspect who allegedly damaged local car wash

The Ville Platte Police Department is requesting assistance in locating a suspect in the recent property damage committed at a local car wash.
A press release from the VPPD released on Wednesday read, “Chief Neal Lartigue is seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect on the run.
“On September 25, 2016 the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of property damage at a local car wash on Tate Cove. Upon arrival officers discovered damage to equipment at the car wash and the change machine had been broken and the money stolen. Detectives viewed video surveillance and after further investigation obtained an arrest warrant for Johnathan Todd Fontenot, 27 of 123 Jaco Road, Ville Platte. Fontenot is wanted for charges of simple burglary and criminal damage to property.
