Relay for Life rescheduled

The Evangeline Parish Relay For Life that was scheduled for April 18, was postponed due to inclement weather. Chairwoman Connie Lamke stated that the committee was working hard behind the scenes to arrange a new date as quickly as possible.
The relay will now be held on Saturday May 2, at the Ville Platte High School Football Stadium from Noon to midnight. There will be plenty of activities, including fire truck rides, fun jumps, jail and bail, barbecue, crawfish, hamburger and hotdogs. The three live bands that were scheduled will still be appearing at the event. Holly O, Perysh Lyne and Wicked Waters will be on hand to “rock the relay.”
