Ville Platte police investigating business break-in

The Ville Platte Police Department is investigating a break-in that occurred Thursday, April 24, and asking residents who may have witnessed the break-in or saw anything suspicious to contact the department with that information.
According to police, a business in the 500 block of McArthur Road was broken into at approximately 12:45 a.m. on the morning of April 24, and police responded to the businesses’ alarm activation. The business suffered damage, as the suspect or suspects allegedly broke through a section of brick wall to get inside. There has been no word on what, if anything, was taken from the business.
