Ville Platte police searching for burglary suspects

Today, June 5, the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a call of a reported break in the 800 block of West LaSalle Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the suspect(s) gained entry into the building, causing damage both outside and inside the facility. Detective Nathaniel Savoy was assigned to the incident and stated that information on what items may have been stolen is being withheld at this time as the incident is still under investigation.
Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue is asking the public for assistance.
“Call us if you saw anyone in the area of the 800 block of West LaSalle in the early this morning,” Lartigue stated. “Remember that your call is anonymous.”
