VP gets new pressure sewer cleaner

Ville Platte residents will soon begin to see a rather odd looking piece of machinery in their neighborhoods. They should be glad to see it because it’s the city’s brand new sewer cleaner.
On Monday, August 4, the pressure cleaner was delivered to the city that will be used to clear sewers, as well as culverts and any pipes that become clogged.
That machinery replaces the city’s an old pipe cleaner that was about 30 years old and frequently broke down. Because it was so old, parts were no longer available.
Mayor Jennifer Vidrine, who was at the city’s sewer plant, where the pressure cleaner was delivered by Covington Sales & Service of Denham Springs, said the new equipment will be
“put right to work” on a waiting list of sewer lines that needs to be cleared.
