VPPD arrest three men in shooting

Three men have been charged in a recent shooting in Ville Platte.
Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue released a statement on Tuesday detailing the arrests of the three suspects. In the statement he writes, “On June 24, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m. the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the parking of an apartment complex on North Latour Street. According to the report multiple males were in a verbal altercation when shots were fired striking one male subject in the leg. The victim was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment. Detectives arrived on scene and began their investigation. After further investigation Detectives obtained warrants and arrested the following suspects.”
The releases further goes on to identify the three charged, two who are from Ville Platte while the third resides in Opelousas.
-- Sidney Garlow, 35 of 641 Congress Street, Opelousas was arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Garlow was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $500,000 bond set by Judge West.
-- Travis Ardoin, 35 of 120 East Washington Street, Ville Platte was arrested and charged with principal to attempted second degree murder. Ardoin was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $300,000 bond set by Judge Ortego.
-- Ericke John, 32 of 120 East Washington Street, Ville Platte was arrested and charged with principal to attempted second degree murder. John was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $300,000 bond set by Judge Ortego.
