The Ville Platte Police Department reported four recent booking into the town jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• John Jones,65, 124 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was arrested on January 6, 2016 for driving under suspension. Jones was released from jail on a $500.00 bond.
• Ashley Edwards, 29, 514 W. Oak St., Ville Platte, was arrested on January 6, 2016 for theft. Edwards’ bond has been set at $500.00.
• Gabriel Soileau, 21, 1031 Angie Lane, Ville Platte, was arrested on January 6, 2016 for theft by shoplifting. Soileau was released from jail on a $500.00 bond.
• Lilley Austin, 19, 1517 E. Main, was arrested on January 12, 2016 for simple obstruction of passage and criminal damage to property. Austin has been released from jail.
